Keep Your Pet Safe From Winter Hazards. To protect your pet during the cold winter months, the Dumb Friends League recommends the following safety advice: *Keep an eye on the temperature. When it falls below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, it's best to keep your pet indoors. *Keep your pet's coat well groomed. Matted fur won't properly protect your pet from the cold. *Check your garage and driveway for antifreeze. Antifreeze tastes sweet to pets, but most brands are poisonous if consumed. *Regularly check your pet's water to make sure it's not frozen. When your pet is outside, make sure there is plenty of fresh drinking water available. *Use a damp towel to wipe your pet's feet and underside. Ice-melting chemicals can irritate and burn the pads of your pet's feet and can cause serious injury if ingested. *Provide a dry, draft-free doghouse if you must keep your dog outside for any period of time. It should be large enough to allow your dog to sit and lay down comfortably but small enough to hold in its body heat. T *Keep snow from piling high next to your fence. A packed snowdrift will provide a boost for your dog to jump over the fence *Compare the amount of exercise your dog receives during the colder months to warmer months. If your dog is indoors more at this time of year, it's probably getting less exercise and may need less food.

Denverdaawg Here To Make Your Life Easier!
Why do I need a Pet Sitter or Dog Walker? If you are like most working Americans you are low on time and high on tasks. You might put in long hours at the office. This shortens the amount of time you spend engaging in dog walking with your best canine friend every day. Different dog breeds have different daily exercise requirements, so your pooch might need extensive dog walking or run in the middle of the day to keep from Behavior issues. How can you take your dog walking and be at work at the same time? You can hire a dog walker to be your dog walking replacement while you are at work. Often times a dog walker is more then just a necessity because many dogs that have limited dog walking time become irritable. Dogs need to have daily exercise and human connection through dog walking. This lack of exercise has let excess energy build up and can make your loving pet a little less loving.

Top Denver Job Search, Websites, Recruiters, Sales Rep Info, Job Fairs, Renewable Energy, IT-Telecomm and Resume Tips!

Think Outside The Box!

Job search according to researchers is common cause for depression, which we'll need to avoid for obvious reasons. People always talk about "black hole" - this mysterious place where your resumes go and are never heard of again. Months of silence and desperation, fears and worries can develop into anxiety.

Now what I suggest you do is to expand your horizons, to think outside the box.

1. Don't apply only for the jobs that you've done before. You've got your list of jobs you'll never be able to do and your dream jobs and you have an approximate salary that you need to survive. Here is your range: put into the search criteria your salary and exclude the jobs you won't do. Anything else is fair game.

2. Use global search engines like indeed.com or careerjet.com without geographic specifications. Think outside the box - plenty of people can not think of moving the country or even state, but what if your dream job is somewhere on tropical island and offers a very attractive package for relocation? Consider how much less competition you face here with so many people being afraid to relocate.

3. Think of your unique skills and put them through job search engine as criteria again without limiting yourself by location. You'll find very interesting results I reckon.

4. Don't forget you've got another skill which is very valuable - you are native English speaker. If you have any kind of degree you can teach in any part of the world. Last I've heard tropical islands in Thailand are very popular and South Korean schools pay very handsomely ($1000 - 2000 per month for a start). If you spend months and months searching for jobs in US why not take a break and go to Asia for a year - you'll save some money and travel around the region.

5. Consider jobs for couples outside US if your partner is in the same position as you and feel adventurous or desperate enough to apply for jobs elsewhere. There are housekeeping jobs for eco-resorts or luxury hotels around the world which offer full package - salary, accommodation and food. There are teaching jobs for couples as well.

6. At last but not least, look for distant jobs over the Internet. There are plenty of small businesses around, which employ you on short-term contract base to be their accountant, project manager, secretary, copywriter, translator, web developer, etc. through the Web. There are websites like Elance.com or oDesk.com and plenty of others to help you to get started.

Remember, huge unemployment benefit is that you have time to start anew, to search for an optimal occupation for yourself, just be brave and grab an opportunity to change your life.

Denver Area Renewable Energy Solar Jobs, Energy News and More!

The news roundup for green jobs
Link to Great Green Careers Blog, Great Info

July 29th, 2010 As the immediate effects of the BP oil spill begin to fade, the long term effects are still be determined. The cleanup will continue to generate new jobs in the Gulf Region for months (if not years) to come. However, the oil spill wasn’t the only news in the green economy - read on:

•New efforts on a renewable electricity standard: Some clean energy and climate advocates have shifted their sights to a scaled-back but still ambitious goal: passage of a national renewable electricity standard. Such a law would require utility companies to produce a set amount of electricity from renewable sources by a certain date, spurring the development of clean sources like wind and solar and probably lowering overall emissions nationally. Such a standard would drive additional employment in the wind and solar sectors.
•Wind farm ‘mega-project’ underway in Mojave Desert: the project is officially breaking ground in the Tehachapi Pass, a burgeoning hot spot for wind energy about 75 miles north of Los Angeles. When completed, Alta could produce three times as much energy as the country’s largest existing wind farm, analysts said. It’s slated to be done in the next decade and will create hundreds of construction and maintenance jobs.
•New Stirling engine solar heating and power system in Colorado: Cool Energy, of Boulder, Colorado, a developer of clean energy heat and power generating systems, today announced that Xcel Energy will be providing research and analytical support for the first planned pilot field installation of the SolarFlowÆ System in a commercial building located in Boulder, Colorado.
•Xtreme Power raises cash for renewable-energy storage: Xtreme Power, an Austin, Texas company which is commercializing battery technology originally developed for electric vehicles, is expected to announce on Tuesday that it has raised nearly $30 million to expand into utility energy storage.

•Green homes combine solar and energy efficiency: Meritage Homes, one of America’s top ten home builders, is now constructing more than 200 homes near Phoenix, Arizona that will be up to 80 percent more energy efficient than typical existing homes of the same size.
